In 2004 filmmaker, Joanna Kohler , wanted to explore community engagement and film. The GUERRILLA Tour was developed to provide a way for Kohler Productions social documentaries to be a participatory experience for the audience.

The documentary Moving In A Mirror was reaching completion, and Joanna Kohler had just been trained as a facilitator with the Institute for Cultural Affairs. A focused conversation was developed asking the question "What is activism to you?" and used with screenings across the Twin Cities.

The GUERRILLA Tour has expanded to include more films and more conversations.

The goal is interactive film conversations
that confront power, entertain and engage communities.
