St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman is proposing to cut rec. center budgets. A crew with Real Reality T. V. is asking tough questions form a youth perspective with the documentary subject "Places for youth to hang out?".

Interviews in the community include:

Youth Directed Documentary #2

"Gothic Subculture"

Gothic subculture is being talked about in the media and the public is asking youth what being Goth is all about. This crew poses the question "Why is Gothic Subculture Given a Bad Rap?" The production crew explores the religious and cultural issues that come up when teen dress in all black.

Youth Directed Documentary #3

"Censored Rap Music"

Rap music is censored and these youth want to know why. How does the censorship of rap compare to other types of music? How does this censorship affect urban communities? This production crew asks the questions than gets down to work finding the answers.

DETAILS
Each of the 10 minute documentaries will be broadcast on SPNN and will be posted using google video on the Real Reality TV blog . The public broadcast will reach thousands of residents with cable in St. Paul. The Blog videocast will be available to any one in the world with a computer and internet connection.
