ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER
TERRI SULLIVAN
Terri Sullivan is currently an independent researcher and consultant focusing on youth/adult partnerships for community and social change, while completing her doctorate in education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her focus in the past fifteen years has been on bridging research and practice to empower youth as agents of social and political change: as a Howland Endowed Chair in Youth Leadership Development at the University of Minnesota Extension Center for Youth Development; principal investigator for a five-year study of City Year’s Young Heroes program for middle school youth; as a researcher and senior consultant to statewide collaborations to create communities where all young people have the opportunities they need to thrive; as a volunteer for several local youth-led community change efforts; and by bringing middle school youth from around the country to Washington, D.C. each year for 13 years to lobby congress on youth issues through the RespecTeen National Youth Forum. In a past life, she was senior vice president in charge of consumer marketing communications for Padilla Speer Beardsley Public Relations.
