WITNESS

(1999)- Three youth and a home video camera capture the story of a youth organization at a moment in time when the mission of “for and by youth” dreamed up by adults, became a traumatic disillusionment for youth.  Witness forges an organizational history from the perspective of the youth affected by the ideals and theoretical concepts of youth empowerment.   Witness serves as a warning to adults to think deeply about the promises they make to young people.
